A properly finished wood floor can really make a statement in a room, bringing a natural class to it.
I also gild and paint furniture. I use many shades of varnish, etc on floors and understand the absorption of varnishes, paints, and other materials on wood, which is why it was a logical progression for me to paint furniture. Gilding is a skill that I acquired more recently through working alongside other Great British Designers. It is a slightly tricky skill but gives a great look.
